Gooey (Tuff Turf Edit) – Glass Animals

This Glass Animals record Gooey got a solid edit by San Diego producers Tuff Turf. they gave the track a little energy by adding some drums to the track and sped the BPM up to make a sexy, midtempo groove! Highly recommended, an instant add to the my crate.

Childish Gambino – 3005 (ENFERNO Live Remix)

Childish Gambino’s “3005” was one of my favorite RNB/Hip Hop joints of 2014, hands down. DJ Enferno 2003 DMC World Champion is by far one of the most innovative DJ/Remixers of current date, and this live remix of “3005” is as prime example of his skill set. Its not like hes doing anything new or original as far as performing live remixes or DJ sets with instruments. What sets him apart from the pack is his ability to seamlessly do it without a hitch. You would think hes just playing a remix but hes in the DJ booth doing that shit LIVE!! Some have to do one or the other, he does both. I think because hes so clean and really doesn’t allow the performance to be the forefront of his sets that he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. Just watch for yourself…..

Mike Tyson – Punch Out! – DJ Kue Remix

My posts lately have been from some of my favorite remixers that simply have been in a slump or a just busy perfecting their craft. Mike Morales A.K.A. DJ Kue representing NoCal Bay Area, SF came correct on this one. Ive heard my childhood favorite 8 bit games remixed, Super Mario, Tetris, Zelda, but Kue dug a little deeper and kept most of the original flavor from it in tact. I cant see a huge crowd of people in a club losing their minds unless I was DJing a special event for E3 or Comic-Con where all the fanboys and girls can geek out and let the freak flag fly. Im all for it, get you some!!!

Baauer – One Touch ft AlunaGeorge & Rae Sremmurd

A 2 week slump in the world of music and a KC Royals loss in Game 7 had me pretty bummed out, and MIA. Speaking of SLUMP, where the hell has Baauer been?? Living off the “Harlem Shake” Fame, hell I’ll even go one deeper with his Remix of No Doubts “Settle Down” which was hot FIYAH!! Out of the wood works comes Baauer with his new single “One Touch” Ft. Aluna George and Rae Sremmurd. Rae Sremmurd is a hot commodity lately with his hit single “No Flex Zone” which I just dont get it……I just know it works. “No Type” now I can get with that, his lyrical flow seemed to make more sense and seemed to be more fluid over that production. Long story short, if I must get on this Sremmurd bandwagon, I got one more that I can throw into the rotation now. Baauer its good to have you back!!

Next x Tinashe Too Close 2 On (Shan Tha Don Blend)

Like it or not, this R&B classic “Too Close” works every time……I mean EVERY time. Shan Tha Don has struck gold with this refresh blending with Tinashe’s hit single “2 On”. This is gonna stay in heavy rotation for a long time.

Dr. Dre – Forgot About Dre (Drezo Remix)

This Dr. Dre classic seems to get remixed frequently, for obvious reasons. More often than not, its poorly done and not necessary. This Drezo remix is on the deeper side, G-House written all over it, THAT BASS THO!!!! Ill take it.

Fellow – Dayne Jordan produced by DJ Jazzy Jeff

Jazzy Jeff coming correct with that proper Hip Hop!! As hard as it is to find, Jeff stays consistent with his jazzy production style, as Dayne Jordan laces the beat with solid rhymes. I never expect anything less from Jeff, keep championing the movement!!

DJ Spair- Pee Wee’s Twerk House

DJ Spair really showed his age on this twerk remix of the Pee Wee’s Playhouse theme. This will get spins from me just for the nostalgia factor alone. Pee Wee’s Playhouse was one of the best Saturday Morning shows of all time. Im almost certain I can say I watched every episode. Im sorrrrry, im so so sorrrry. IMMMMMM NOT SORRRRRRRRYYYYYYY!!!!
